In January 2012 Omicron Delta Epsilon and the American Economic Association will jointly be hosting a Graduate Student Invited Paper Session at the ASSA meeting in Chicago.

The ODE Session provides an excellent opportunity for recent senior graduate students or new Ph.D.s to present their research at our national professional meetings. Work chosen for the session is also eligible for submission to The American Economist and will automatically be entered into the Irving Fisher Graduate Article competition.

Benjamin Friedman Travel Awards consisting of reimbursement of documented travel and lodging expenses of up to $500 for paper presenters/discussants are available for students who are ODE members. Others are eligible to be presenters of papers and discussants but are not eligible for the monetary awards. Membership in ODE is lifetime, and students who have been inducted into ODE as undergraduates are also eligible. A photocopy of the membership card or scroll or letter from the Chapter Advisor may be used to verify membership.

To submit, apply online or by mail along with a brief abstract of your paper by May 15, 2011.  Decisions on papers and discussants will be made by June 1, 2011.
